A word for all property owners. Play it safe and potentially save time, money, and aggravation. An ACC review of your plans is required before starting any construction of any kind on your property, whether you believe your plans to be conforming or not.
The ACC meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month. The meeting is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM at the club house. Charlie Graham, the ACC Chairman, will cancel the meeting if he has not received anything by noon on said Thursday. If you have something that you plan on bringing to the ACC meeting you will need to make sure that Charlie knows this no later than noon Thursday. Charlie can be reached at (512) 968-1670.

Nextdoor (Community Bulletin Board)
We recommend the Nextdoor website for getting excellent recommendations on any and all kinds of services from residents in the area. To join Nextdoor, click on www.nextdoor.com and then complete the registration during which you will need to enter your valid Saddletree Ranch street address so that the system can verify that it is indeed a Saddletree Ranch location. When posting anything, you'll have the option of including nearby neighborhoods such as West Cave Estates, Deer Creek Estates, Madrone Ranch, Belvedere, Vistancia, and others for wider exposure to your post/question. Persons who do not live in these registered neighborhoods cannot access Nextdoor. It is also important to know that both the Hays and Travis County Sheriff's departments post crime and safety alerts to Nextdoor. Joining Nextdoor will not result in you receiving spam.
Deer - To Feed or Not To Feed
The POA Board often gets asked if we have an official position on the feeding of deer in the neighborhood. Although there is no mention of this topic in the Restrictions and Covenants, hence not within the purview of the POA.
Watch for the Burn Ban sign near the mail kiosks if either of the counties has a burn ban in effect. They are also posted on the same pole as the Speed Limit signs as you enter off of Hamilton Pool Road on both Peerman Lane and High Plains Drive. All of the Burn Ban signs indicate whether they apply to Hays County and/or Travis County.

Please check and comply with the Rules for Outdoor Burning in Hays County or Travis County before doing any burning (when allowed).
Many residents in the neighborhood have voiced their concern regarding cars and trucks speeding through the neighborhood. Although the SR POA has no direct authority over such laws the Board took the issue to the Hays County Sheriff.
Remember that speeding within the neighborhood, especially along Saddletree Lane and in the mailbox area, is dangerous to all. Please report unsafe driving and speeding to your local authorities (county sheriff).
